For a year, iMARS was waging a communication campaign aimed at informing society about the possibilities and risks that would appear if Russia ratifies the Paris Climate Agreement. Implementation of the PR program started from a round-table discussion at the Analytical Center affiliated with the Russian Government in July 2016, during which, the Natural Monopolies Institute presented the results of the research “Risks of implementing the Paris Climate Agreement for Russia’s economy and national security”. The peculiarity of the campaign was involvement of a vast number of reputable experts, environmental organizations, scientific institutes, legislative and executive power representatives. All the activities were extensively covered by the media.
